The Misleading of Reporter, Jane Roberts, of the Daily Memphian: On The Death of Dr. J. Barton Williams of Memphis, TN.
On 2/24/21, I wrote the below e-mail to reporter Ms. Jane Roberts of the Daily Memphian in Memphis, TN.
I wrote to inform her that in an article she penned about the death of a young orthopedic surgeon, Dr. J. Barton Williams of Memphis, she had been misled by her source.
You may read Ms. Roberts’ article HERE.
Following the tragic death of Dr. Williams, and based on his doctors’ statements to the press, I wrote the an opinion article about what is almost certain to be the cause of his death. I wrote this article because it is amply clear that Dr. Williams’ physician is unwilling to truthfully admit that his patient’s deadly condition was almost certainly triggered by the COVID-19 vaccine he received. I believe this is because of the unjustifiable level of political pressure and “group think” about the need for speedy vaccination — pressures so great that many decorated physicians are suspending both standards of care (i.e., we do NOT vaccinated the already infected) AND their ethical duty to public health and to the truth.
You may read my opinion article HERE.
To summarize, it is almost certain that Dr. Williams had a recent asymptomatic natural SASR-CoV-2 infection PRIOR to his immunization with the COVID-19 vaccine. His COVID-19 vaccination seems to have triggered a “delayed immune response” to the virus, which then spiraled into a deadly multi-system inflammatory syndrome.
I wrote the below letter to Ms. Jane Roberts, the reporter at the Daily Memphian because I do believe that most good journalists are committed to truth telling — not sugarcoating. However, I fully anticipate that neither the Daily Memphian’s reporters, editors or publisher will have the political willpower or capacity to challenge the misleading narrative presented by Dr. Williams’ care team.
Perhaps the best I can hope for is that the Daily Memphian’s editors would present a balanced story based on the facts — not just the almost certainly disingenuous interpretation of a clear-cut fact, by Dr. Williams’ physician. After all, the said doctor knows that the COVID-19 vaccine almost certainly triggered an inflammatory syndrome in the otherwise healthy, but previously SARS-CoV-2 infected, Dr. J. Barton Williams of Memphis, TN.
Here is my e-mail to Ms. Jane Roberts — in hope that she may be more interested in the truth than in imbalanced story-telling:

Dear Ms. Roberts,
I’ve read your article, and others’, reporting on the death of Dr. J. Barton Williams:
Please read my analysis of this tragedy as a physician, immunologist and public health advocate — I am very sorry to say that the Daily Memphian and the public have been shockingly misled by Dr. Stephen Threlkeld about Dr. J. Barton Williams’ death:
As I’ve written, it is highly likely that Dr. Williams’ vaccination in the setting of a prior asymptomatic COVID-19 infection is what triggered his hyperinflammatory response and subsequent death almost immediately AFTER he was vaccinated.
Though it is true that if Dr. Williams’ had been immunized PRIOR to his natural infection he would have been protected (as Dr. Threlkeld has stated on the record), it is also very highly likely to be true that his vaccination AFTER his natural infection triggered his systemic inflammatory disease and death.
The fact that Dr. Threlkeld did not represent this more likely reality about Dr. Williams’ case accurately to the press is a dramatic failure in professional responsibility to public health on the part of a treating physician. I am simply flabbergasted by this physician’s public misrepresentation to your news outlet.
The reason I believe you must act on my criticism is that in the US we are currently indiscriminately vaccinating many persons, like Dr. Williams (i.e., with a prior recent COVID-19 infection) at an unprecedented speed — in a setting where over 30 million Americans, like Dr. Williams, have already had symptomatic and asymptomatic natural COVID-19 infections. This population is highly likely to be at great risk of harm from indiscriminate vaccination, as was Dr. Williams.
And Ms. Roberts, you should know that the Pfizer and Moderna studies did NOT include a sufficiently powered subset of such subjects with prior infection to establish, well, the safety of vaccinating the already infected. This is a public health risk that Dr. J. Barton Williams’ death is likely to be clearly demonstrative of.
In reading this email I fully recognize that you and your editors, as mainstream reporters, may want to dismiss it as an anti-vaccine trope — or, perhaps, an uncomfortable situation to address and resolve with Dr. Threlkeld. But you and your editors would be incorrect if you do not go back and correct the record.
The fact is that Dr. Williams was an otherwise healthy 36 year old with only a prior “KNOWN” asymptomatic COVID-19 infection (As Dr. Threlkeld has fully stated to the press), whose indiscriminate vaccination subsequently triggered this catastrophe for him and his family. nearly 30 million others in his category (i.e., the naturally infected) across the nation are at risk of being indiscriminately vaccinated.
I am afraid that the Daily Memphian and Dr. Willaims’ family have been misled by Dr. Threlkeld, who knows better — or should! And if you do not correct your record, you will have allowed the index warning case that Dr. Williams case is to the public to be sugar-coated by a physician whose ONLY goal is to maximize the speed of vaccination — to hell with protecting any vulnerable class of patients, like the previously or recently infected.
Please correct your record: Dr. Willaims died of a “delayed COVID-19 response” that was almost certainly triggered by his indiscriminate vaccination following an asymptomatic COIVD-19 infection. The United States should not be nonchalantly vaccinating the already infected.
Correct your record, Ms. Roberts, perhaps you and your editors at the Daily Memphian will save a few previously infected lives at risk — certainly, if you yourself or a loved one have been previously infected by COVID-19, or suspect that you have, please #ScreenB4Vaccine — and if positive, delay or forego your vaccination.
Good reporting ought to be balanced, truthful and amenable to correction and update — accepting lies and misrepresentations by a well dressed physician with titles is not becoming of a major news outlet and its journalists.
Sincerely,
—
