A Brief American Query To The Chinese Communist Party And President Xi Jinping: A Concerning Epidemiological Differential.

Are Chinese Citizens, Outside Of Wuhan, Immune To COVID-19?

President Xi Jinping and members of the Chinese communist party,

I write this brief public query to you as an American immunologist and physician.

It has been very concerning to witness the devastation caused to the western world and our allies and partners by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

But the most puzzling aspect of this COVID-19 pandemic has been how incredibly well spared almost all of your nation, outside of Wuhan, seems to be.

Indeed, the COVID-19 epidemiological differential between China and the rest of the world, is so MASSIVE that it is hard to imagine it not being man made(?). How the WHO is able to ignore it is a question for history to answer.

Some of my colleagues and countrymen tell me that epidemiological differential is because China’s state machinery was very efficient at early lock downs and that your population is compliant with state rules — so China stayed ahead of the pandemic. Of course that begs the question of why it didn’t rear its head when your nation resumed normal operations.

Others say your nation was actually highly affected by COVID-19, but that you’ve blocked out the global media, and so China is hiding the pandemic devastation to your population from outsider eyes — as evidence, they point to your discharge of western journalists and cell-phone blackouts. “Surely,” they say, “China must be as terribly affected as we are — they CCP is just hiding it from the world”. But, I have read the Art of War carefully. Do you expect many of us to be thinking that?

I, and some of my friends, are skeptical of both the above two explanations rationalizing China’s epidemiological differential— because China is a large and complex nation. So neither of the above explanations provide a satisfactory answer to the clear conundrum the flat COVID-19 curve in China poses. I certainly know that this kind of an immunological “delta” cannot possibly be random — or simply “natural”.

I am also very intrigued by the geographic selectivity of the COVID-19 pandemic within your own nation — the epicenter of the pandemic being Wuhan, with almost all the rest of China being spared. How could that be?

So, I have a few very simple questions for you and your public health officers about the COVID-19 pandemic’s epidemiological differential in China:

  1. Why do YOU think only Wuhan was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic virus in China and not the rest of your provinces? Was it simply your aggressive lock downs? If so, why after the release of your lock downs did the pandemic not hit China hard? Do you think this is because you eradicated the virus using only lock downs and distancing practices? Or are you hiding hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 deaths from the world. Hard to believe.
  2. Do you have any reason to believe, or do you know, whether the population of China, outside of Wuhan, may have already been immune to COVID-19 prior to start of the pandemic?
  3. Could you provide the US with information about what proportion of the Chinese population, outside of Wuhan, currently carries antibody immunity to SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein?

It is concerning and disconcerting to know, as an immunologist, that the sparing of most of China, outside of the Wuhan “escape site”, from this pandemic disaster is highly unlikely to be natural event.

Is the COVID-19 epidemiological differential between Wuhan and the rest of China a natural event? Is this differential really related to your excellent lock-downs that served as a model for the western hemisphere to emulate, which devastated our economies? Are Chinese citizens outside of Wuhan currently serologically immune to COVID-19 — and if so, how would they have acquired such immunity?

Know, that some Americans are wondering if most of China’s population was already immune to COVID-19, prior to the start of the pandemic in Wuhan — and we are asking, if this is so, how?

This is a critical question you must answer for the United States and our NATO allies: does the average Chinese citizen, at present, outside of Wuhan enjoy antibody immunity to SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein at the moment?

In America, at present up to 30% of our population is naturally immune. Another 50% of us have acquired vaccine immunity. What about you? What is the incidence of antibody immunity to SARS-CoV-2 in the population of Beijing or Shanghai, for example. And how does that compare to to the rest of the world and to Wuhan?

In my opinion, the epidemiological differential between Wuhan and the rest of China (and the rest of the world) is likely designed and it is highly unlikely to be a natural occurrence or a consequence of your temporary lock-downs or state suppression. Instead, it is my opinion that there is a very simple immunological explanation: That is, Wuhan was not immune to SARS-CoV-2, where most the rest of China, somehow, was.

Help us understand what you are doing — and give us the assurance necessary that nothing nefarious is happening.

Are the majority of your citizens, outside of Wuhan, where COVID-19 has not wreaked havoc, carrying antibody immunity to SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein? You must answer this question — we see you.
